Artist Management Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Artist Management Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with artist Sara Elle, offering support in various administrative, IT, and sales tasks. This entry-level, part-time position is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about art and looking to gain hands-on experience in the art industry.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities

Assist in administrative tasks including scheduling, researching new opportunities, and contract negotiation.

Provide IT support, including website maintenance and digital archiving of artwork.

Handle local deliveries of artwork, ensuring safe and timely transportation.

Engage in the promotion of Sara Elle's work on social media platforms.

Photograph and archive existing artwork for digital records and online presentation.

Attend vendor events to actively sell artwork and interact with potential clients.

Reach out to galleries and art buyers to expand the artist's market presence.

Support the artist in various aspects leading up to and during large vendor events.
Qualifications

Strong interest in the arts, particularly in supporting and promoting artists.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Basic knowledge of IT and social media platforms.

Good communication and negotiation skills.

Photography skills for archiving artwork are a plus.

Must have a reliable mode of transportation for local deliveries.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.

Job Title: Artist Management Assistant
Job Type: Part-Time, Hybrid (Remote/On site)
Location: Rockland County, NY
Hours: Part-time, approximately 8-12 hours per week. Must be available to attend major vendor events as required.
Compensation: This role is compensated as an independent contractor with a commission rate of 30% for all work leading to a sale.
